The Board of Directors of the Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA Awards) have announced the departure of Martin Fayomi from the company effective immediately. In the interim the board of directors of the company, Tope Esan, Cosmas Collins and Azeem Jolasun, will assume his responsibilities.
“Martin helped lead NEA Awards during the transition period when I stepped down as president and we value his contributions during this period” said Tope Esan, ex-president and board member. “He led the company through some important times and helped create some important partnerships. All of us wish Martin the best in his future endeavors.”
“We are excited about what the future holds for the NEA brand,” said Cosmas “Cos Canino” Collins, who will serve as production project lead for future editions of NEA Awards starting with the next edition of the Awards in Summer of 2016. Cos has been on the board of NEA since inception and is a veteran production manager in New York City.
“Coming off our successful 10th edition and with the fresh new ideas that came out from the board meeting, NEA Awards is preparing to take the event to another level,” said Azeem “DJ Zimo” Jolasun, who will serve as business development lead for NEA Awards. “Martin was a good contributor when he was on the team and he will be missed.”
