Sixteen people have been killed after a firebomb was thrown into a restaurant in Cairo.
The El Sayad restaurant, located in the basement had only one exit, making escape nearly impossible for the people who were trapped inside.
The suspects are still unidentified but security officials claim that three men who were earlier prevented from entering the restaurant were responsible.
Egypt has come under increased terrorist activity, with a notorious ISIL affiliate operating from within Egypt.
They had earlier claimed responsibility for an attack on a Russian airplane which killed 224 people.
No group has claimed responsibility for today’s attack.
