French President Francois Hollande addressed a joint session of the Parliament today.
Following the terror attacks in Paris, Hollande said while addressing Parliament that he will propose a bill to extend the state of emergency in France to three months.
Apart from increasing France’s capacity to carry out airstrikes against Syria, Hollande has also requested a meeting of the UN security council.
France is treating Friday’s attack as an act of war as it is taking the battle to Syria, the stronghold of ISIS. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks and France responded yesterday by launching airstrikes in Raqqa, Syria.
French police arrested 23 people today and reportedly recovered a rocket launcher in its raids.
