Two members of Venezuela’s first family are facing charges of drug trafficking in America and have appeared before a judge on charges of planning to smuggle drugs into the United States.
The two members of President Nicolas Maduro’s family who have been arrested are Efraín Antonio Campo Flores and Francisco Flores de Freitas. They are reportedly nephews of the President and were arrested in Haiti and handed over to DEA officials.
Both men are accused of planning to smuggle over 800 kg of cocaine into the United states via a Honduran island.
