The justices of the Mexican Supreme court ruled in favor of “Society for Responsible and Tolerant Personal Use” marijuana activists, giving them the right to grow and smoke their own marijuana.
Mexico has some of the strictest drug laws in the world and while the Supreme Court judgment does not set aside Mexico’s existing laws, it provides hope that Mexico can join some states in the U.S by legalisiing Marijuana.
By voting in favour of allowing the four activists grow their own marijuana, the ruling will surely propel more people to seek similar reprieve in court.
