Africa’s finest artiste, 2Face Idibia is scheduled to return to the school circuits come 2013. This
announcement was made at the recently held Playas’ Ball event which held at Auto Lounge VI on the 9th
of December 2012. The end of year party was produced by Hypertek Entertainment in conjunction with
NM En.Core and was supported by Soundcity.
The event was engineered to provide the artiste with a platform by which he could show gratitude and
appreciation to everyone who played a part in making the 2Face brand successful in the year 2012.
More importantly however, he was able to highlight his plans for the next year 2013 while taking time to
interact with people with the intent of fostering a relationship that would ensure continued association
and cooperation in the future.
Perhaps his most important announcement of the night was his return, after a six-year hiatus, to
performing in the nation’s higher institutions. 2013 will see Idibia embark on a scheduled campus tour
that would see him visiting various tertiary institutions in Nigeria for the first time in over six years.
The announcement was met with cheers by attendees at the event; a sure sign that 2Face’s return is a
welcome development.
A 2Face Campus Connect competition has been designed in order to make school selection for the tour
seem less of a task as well as to involve the beneficiaries. Students are to visit www.2faceonline.com to
vote their schools as one of the six schools to be visited in this first window of touring. The schools with
the highest votes will automatically be selected as the first port of call.
Without any doubt the most accomplished artiste of his generation, 2Face Idibia put out his first
recording Body & Soul as a member of the trio Plantashun Boiz in 1999. Thirteen years later, having
gone through more ups and downs to panic even a seasoned stockbroker, the artiste has emerged a
newer, stronger brand winning several awards for all of his past releases. This year, he added another
album to his catalogue. The album is titled ‘Away and Beyond’.
‘Away and Beyond’ is available in CD stores nationwide and also on Itunes online music store.
