Nollywood practitioners, film makers, directors, actors, actresses are saying NO to piracy. This protest came as a result of Alaba International pirating some of the movies film makers spend a lot of money on to produce a good movie.
The protesters also suggested a percentage of what government collects as entertainment tax should be paid into the fund annually for the sustenance of the war against piracy.
The protest was joined by members of the Yoruba Video Film Producers/ Marketers Association of Nigeria ( YOVIFPMAN), Nollywood actors, musicians, actresses, producers and directors including, Yinka Akanbi, James Alabi aka Abinibi, Adeniyi Johnson, Debo Alexander, Henry Alade, Abbey Lanre, Funmbi Akinduro, BUGA, Goriola Hassan, Biyi Samuel, Kehinde Bankole, Biodun Aleja, James Alabi, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Aremu Afolayan, Dotun Taylor, Jamiu Soyode, Abisola Ojo, Iyabo Ojo, Stephanie Okereke, Funky Mallam, Yomi Fabiyi, Sunkanmi Omobolanle, Jide Morounfolu among others.
