Olamide: Who wouldn’t consider Olamide in this kind of category? The rapper has proved his versatility over and over; his place is secured in the Nigerian music’s hall of fame, although his 5th studio in 5years didn’t feature in the year in review but it deserved a mention. His work ethics is working for him.
Davido: The HKN front man is not relenting yet as he strives to defend the plaque he won last year. Davido maintained his relevance in the year under review. He has an enviable singles and collaborations to show for his efforts in the year.
Wizkid: With Ojuelegba alone, Wizked deserves a nomination here as he also has an album ‘AYO’ to show for it. The Starboy Records front man came back to the country for reclaim him spot having been on the chase for international recognition.
Yemi Alade: The ‘King of Queens’ is what she is. The Effizzy music act has worked her way to the top and she is not a surprise on this list Yemi Alade has paid her dues with hits after hits we wish her luck on the awards night.
P-Square: Nigeria music superstar duo P-Square has a lot of awards plaques on their cabinet including the headies but we feel they haven’t done much to deserve a nomination in this category.
Our Vedict:
Olamide seems the undisputed winner of this category has his close competitors, Davido and Wizkid haven’t match his incredible inputs in the year under review.
