The city of Lagos witnessed one of its lively Fridays in history at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki with the third edition of Lagos Jazz Series on Friday November 16,2012.
The event started at about 9:30pm, some hours behind schedule but attendants of the interesting event quickly erased the memory of the late commencement with the introduction of one of Nigeria’s surviving female artisteWaje.
Waje thrilled the audience for more than 45 minutes, under the influence of jazz, especially with her irresistible delivery of a track titled ‘For a minute’.
Just as the audience where settling into the lively, sensational and welcoming environment, the anchor, Olisa introduced another notable female artiste, this time, its a lady with a unique style, voice and music, of course if our one and only Omawumi, the ‘bottom belle mistress’.
As expected, Omawumi introduced her presence on stage with her ever blazing track ‘ If you ask me‘, blending into some other tracks of hers. Omawumi enjoyed herself in the process of thrilling the audience.
Lagos Jazz Series wouldn’t have been more fun without her professional twist of her popular ‘Bottom Belle‘ into Jazz. This left the audience jamming hands even after her exit on stage, thanks to Cohbams Asuquo for taking the artiste through musical coaching. His presence at the event further inspires the artiste and present audience.
While Omawumi was giving it her best on stage, recently married rapper, Naeto C made his presence visible, but this time not as a performer, but as an inspiration to colleagues.
Roy Hargrove and Roberta Gambarini wrapped the event up with a sensational music delivery.
Nigerian Photographer, Kelechi Amadi Obi was also present, amongst many other notables.
Lagos Jazz series, is an initiative of CBO Capital supported by; Etisalat, Hillsidxe Gardens, Promasidor, Porsche, Federal Palace Hotel, Africa Magic, Business Day, Osaka, Street Energy, The Wheatbasker, Mcpherson, RDS, The Beat FM and Classic FM.
