Awards season will continue on Monday with the biggest night in music – the Grammys.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the ceremony…
When?
The 58th annual Grammy Awards will take place at 5pm (PT)/ 1am (GMT)/ 2pm (Nigerian Time) on Monday 15 February at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, in what is sure to be a memorable evening.
The Host:
LL Cool J will return to host the awards for the fifth year in a row, and has promised that viewers are in for a “spectacular show” in a recent interview with Studio Wrap.
A number of stars including Ariana Grande, James Corden, Selena Gomez and Ed Sheeran are confirmed to present awards. Joining them on presenting duties are Sam Smith, Kaley Cuoco, and Anna Kendrick.
The performers:
Taylor Swift will open the show with a performance from her Grammy-nominated album 1989. Her friend Ellie Goulding is also confirmed to take to the stage, as are Justin Bieber, Rihanna, The Weeknd and Adele – who will give her first performance at the awards since 2012.
Kendrick Lamar will also perform on the night, and host LL Cool J has revealed that the rapper is planning something “very controversial”.
Lady Gaga’s tribute to David Bowie:
Lady Gaga will pay a special homage to the late David Bowie during the ceremony, and has even got a tattoo of David’s alter ego Ziggy Stardust ahead of her performance – which is said to be an eight-minute “experimental tribute” to the iconic musician.
The awards:
A total of 83 awards will be handed out on the night, covering musical genres from pop, rock and R&B to Latin, comedy and spoken word recordings – the latter of which President Barack Obama has won in the past.
Nominees
Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations with 11, including Album of the Year, Best Rap Album and Song of the Year. Following behind with seven nominations each are Taylor Swift and The Weeknd, while producer Max Martin has received the most nominations for a non-performing artist, with six Grammys nods for his work with artists Ellie Goulding, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd.
After being named MusiCare’s person of the year, Lionel Richie will be the subject of a special tribute performance from American singers Meghan Trainor, John Legend, Demi Lovato and Luke Bryan. He is also set to make an appearance on stage himself.

The rapper, who has received four awards nominations, tweeted to say he is already preparing his Grammys acceptance speech.
