On November 19th 2016, we’re back at Muri Okunola Park for “Run For A Cure 2016” to raise awareness and funds to support the treatment of those suffering from cancer. Hosted by Child Survival and Development Organisation of Nigeria (CS-DON), the “Run For A Cure” initiative began in 2009, with the help of the wonderful people who turn up in the thousands each year, over 600 women have been provided with free cryotherapy screening and treatment for cervical cancer, and many women and children with cancer have received treatment support.
In 2016, with funds raised, CS-DON plans to expand its reach to other parts of the country through awareness events and partnership with teaching hospitals and other cancer awareness and advocacy organisations.
