The 8th edition of the Future Awards Africa took place at  Aztech Arcum, Port Harcourt.

 

The hosts for the event were Rapper Vector and OAP Toke Makinwa. The event was hosted by the River State Government.

 

Guests in attendance include Julius Agwu, Timi Dakolo, O. C Ukeje, Vector, Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju, Gbenro Ajibade, Jesse Jagz, Isio Wanogho, Isoken  and others.

The first set of awards was presented by Isio Wanogho and Charles Obi

PRIZE IN ENTERPRISE SUPPORT – JOBBERMAN

 

Timi Dakolo performed and also dedicated a song to the late Icon Nelson Mandela.

PRIZE IN PROFESSIONAL SERVICE – KAYODE YEMENU

 

PRIZE IN PUBLIC SERVICE – DR. ADANNA CHUKWUMA

 

Adebola Williams and Commissioner of Rivers State presented the next set of awards.

YOUNG PERSON OF THE YEAR – ASHISH J. THAKKAR (UGANDA). Ashish called in during the awards to express his gratitude and also thanked the organizers of The Future Awards. He was in Brazil during the time of his call.

 

The next set was of awards was presented by Lala Akindoju and Gbenro Ajibade.

 

PRIZE IN ENTERTAINMENT TALENT – O.C UKEJE

 

PRIZE IN ARTS AND CULTURE – KENNETH GYANG ( Same guy who produced the popular movie Confusion Na Wa. The movie Confusion Na Wa has more than six awards this year alone. Congrats Kenneth)
