Good morning and welcome to a beautiful Thursday!
1 Timothy 4:7-9
Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales: rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
It is amazing that our Lord has it all covered! As we go about our daily business, in this fast-paced environment, it is hard to believe that we have time to exercise. We don’t need to wait until the doctor says, “you need to adopt a healthy lifestyle or else…” before you begin to make a change. Instead, take advantage of every opportunity you have to walk up the stairs to another floor in your office, instead of taking the lift or escalator; walk to the neighbour’s house down the road, instead of driving. It could even be as simple as you buying a video and following the video instructor in your home…bottom-line, do something! Your body needs that little profit that comes from exercise.
Think about it
i. Is my body as fit as my spirit? Do I need to work on making my body and spirit healthy?
ii. What daily steps can I take to adopt a healthier lifestyle?
