Everyone feels the atmosphere at Chelsea Football Club has been restored to normal since their Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho left the club last month. New reports indicate that there’s still some trouble brewing at Stamford Bridge.
The controversy friendly British press went gaga with reports that there was a training ground bust-up between two of the club’s stars Diego Costa and Oscar on Wednesday.
The Telegraph reported the two players had to be separated by their colleagues following an “outrageous” challenge from Brazilian midfielder Oscar on the fiery forward.
The heady Diego Costa responded with an ugly lunge of his own which left Oscar infuriated and their team-mates stunned.
The pair then clashed and exchanged angry words before being separated by fellow players. Eyewitnesses say Oscar, 24, was struck up to three times in the fight, but the Brazil midfielder has since moved to quash the claims.
“Those who are saying that me and Diego Costa fought today in training are lying. He is one of my best friends and we would never fight,” he wrote on Twitter.
Club sources say that manager Guus Hiddink was pleased the pair have resolved their differences, as they were seen laughing at the end of the training session.
Both players have been in fine form since the exit of Mourinho, and the Blues will depend on them to get past League One side Scunthorpe in an FA Cup third-round tie on Sunday.
