Members of ONE campaign and Africa’s top male musicians will announce a remix of ‘Strong Girl’, the anthem for women’s empowerment that got the world dancing in May, 2015.
D’Banj and Banky W will be joined by Waje, Selmor Mtukudzi and actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, among others – who recorded the original ‘Strong Girl’ – to call for greater investment in women and girls and to launch this new remix.
They are coming together because Poverty is Sexist – it is harder for a girl born in poverty to climb out than it is for a boy, and we won’t defeat extreme poverty until we put women and girls first.
Poverty is Sexist is a campaign for everyone and Strong Girl is an anthem for everyone – which is why we are producing a remix that brings the voices of men and women together.
