More than 400 women and children have been abducted by the Boko Haram militants from the northern town of Damasak that was freed this month by troops from Niger and Chad.
According to Reuters report, A trader named Souleymane Ali said, “They took 506 young women and children (in Damasak). They killed about 50 of them before leaving.”
Ali also told Reuters in the town. “We don’t know if they killed others after leaving, but they took the rest with them.”
Mohamed Ousmane, who is also a trader said the militants took three of his children and his two wives.
