The dreaded militant group, Boko Haram, today attacked villages in Adamawa, with casualties reportedly numbering up to 40. The attacks took place in the Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State between Thursday and Friday.
The attack comes in the week where the Nigerian Army commenced air raids on the Sambisa forest, a Boko Haram stronghold. It is speculated that the attack in Adamawa was carried out by militants dislodged from Sambisa.
The military today retook Gwoza and one other town in Borno as it continues its advance against the Boko Haram militants.
