Over 550 volunteers, children including various celebrities participated in Slum2School Africa’s Charity fundraising charity walk that held on Saturday 13th September to support the education of 1000Children living in Slums and remote communities in Nigeria and build mentorship hubs to facilitate early childhood education/ development.
The walk attracted hundreds of personalities like, Alibaba, Ufuoma Ejenobor, Monalisa Chinda, AY Makun, Julius Agwu, Timi Dakolo, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Tonye Cole, Segun Arinze and so many others. It was A Walk To Remember.
It was also an opportunity for the about so many Slum2School beneficiaries to leave their communities for the first time guided by their caregivers and community volunteers.
After the 2hours walk a mini fair was organized at BICS garden by the Lekki Sea side where Otto Orondaam, the founder of Slum2School Africa emphasized the importance of the Walk and why we as individuals needed to play our role in supporting children who come from poor backgrounds. Monalisa, a Slum2School Africa’s Ambassador also celebrated her birthday with the children/ volunteers and also encouraged everyone to join in supporting the #1000Dreams campaign. See photos below..
