Plus-size Fashion Week Africa (PFWA) is a first of its kind fashion runway show that highlights plus size models and apparels. The event is set to hold on Sunday, September 2, 2017 at the Main Banquet Hall of the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event will feature a plus size runway fashion show, plus size modelling competition and exhibition booths to create a unique shopping experience for consumers.
PFWAfrica is aimed at maximizing the growing focus on the plus-size fashion industry and also the promotion of the African culture. This maiden edition is themed: “Celebrating the Real African Woman”.
The Plus-size Fashion Week Africa was birthed out of the need to stop the stigmatization and body shaming of the plus-sized woman; we believe that every woman should be comfortable in her skin and body regardless of what the society thinks as long as they are healthy.
If you are a plus size model or you have what it takes to be a plus size model be sure to attend the audition on Saturday 8, July, 2017 at Villa Angelia Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos from 11am.
Ladies who are 18 and above from sizes 12 – 20 are invited to enter the competition.
